Imaginarium created the poster for the legendary Carneval Darsena, a side event of the Carnival of Viareggio.
A “pink” signature for the Carnevaldarsena 2018 poster. The author is Francesca Pasquinucci, graphic designer and illustrator, art director and visual developer at Imaginarium Creative Studio. It is the first Carnevaldarsena poster designed by a woman.
At the center of the poster, which references the colors of Ondina, stands a female figure in profile, wearing a shell as a headpiece, while two octopuses intertwine their tentacles around an anchor. Against the backdrop of an enormous yellow moon, two fishing boats can be seen, further identifying features of the Darsena district.
“I envisioned a sort of tribute to women, a contemporary reinterpretation of Ondina. Something festive yet elegant.”
