In 2025 Imaginarium designed the video mapping and visual art project for Georges Bizet’s Carmen at Teatro Grande in Brescia, a new production co-produced by the OperaLombardia theatres, Teatro Comunale “Pavarotti-Freni” in Modena, Teatro Municipale in Piacenza and Teatro “Dante Alighieri” in Ravenna.
The visual production was entirely developed through generative AI pipelines: to our knowledge, one of the first full-scale Italian operatic productions to place AI-generated imagery at the center of its scenographic language. Each scene emerges from a close dialogue between direction, set design and code, where the generative model becomes a dramaturgical tool at the service of Bizet’s music.
